Creating data for 3D printers using FreeCAD (2026/06/30)
I used a software called FreeCAD to create data for a 3D printer.
However, I'm still not at the point where I can use the software effectively.
This process involves instructing CathGPT to create macros based on the output image.
These days, many DIY electronics projects use LCD panels.
I bought a hand nibbler from Amazon to cut the rectangular opening in an ABSenclosure,
but it's still very difficult to make the opening look neat and professional.
So I searched for a company that does 3D printing on Shopee, a Philippine online shopping site, and I found one!
Pin3D

The front panel was made by ChatGPT.
ChatGPT is also available in FreeCAD.FCStd file.Since I couldn't make it myself, they kindly taught me every step of the way.
But it seemed difficult, so I asked if there was any way to do it,
and they created it using Python.FCMacro file. So, it was possible to make it.
If you open this file in FreeCAD, you will get a drawing like the one below.

The panel is white, and the lettering is finished in black.
FreeCAD is a 3D CAD program, so you can rotate it like this.
We can also modify the case to fit the mounting slots of the case you purchased.
1.3-inch OLED display.
I found the mounting bracket for this display unit on the internet.
https://www.printables.com/model/1338552-13-oled-display-easy-mounting-frame/files.

3D printers are available for purchase online at Shopee.10,000 pesos (26,500 yen)from.40,000 pesos (106,000 yen)I will.
So I looked up some companies and requested quotes, and they offered two options.
180 pesos (480 yen)
They said they would make it for me.

Since you only need a small amount for a single print job, it's more reasonable than buying a 3D printer.
