The installation of the 3.5 MHz twep antenna, which had been planned since last October, is now complete!
I was looking for a plastic waterproof box to put the coils of the twep antenna in. In the Philippines, large boxes were not sold.
So we changed our minds and decided to make a wooden box. My wife's sister's husband, Ronel, built the box.
Lumber Material Cost
260 pesos
Approx. 690 yen
2 cans of paint, brushes, sandpaper
677 pesos
Approx. 1,800 yen
Box production cost
500 pesos
Approx. 1,300 yen
Cost of climbing the tower and installing the antenna
500 pesos
Approx. 1,300 yen
I helped, too, while sweating profusely.
After a cool night, I placed the coils in the box and measured the SWR Coil and 40m element sent by Mr. Sugiura, JK1 SNS
Confirmation that the tuning point changes when the balicon is turned SWR is also good at 1.5
I turned the balicon to 3.528 MHz. The strange thing is that the SWR drops to 1.07 the more you touch the box. The tuning point does not change at that time. It's a mystery.
I turned the balicon to 3.680MHz Again, the SWR will be lower if the box is touched. Is it because the element passes just above the head?
Next I have to buy a coaxial cable.
Antenna Shape It was supposed to be installed at the top of the tower 22 meters, but in fact it was installed at 18 meters. Therefore, the power feed is now 25 m away from the tower.
View from above Due to the site and the installation of the elements on top of the tower, it was not possible to make a straight line.
