JI1FGX/DU9 Mindanao Diary Shack Introduction(2009/07/03)
Summer is dead, I can't hear Japan anymore on 18MHz and 21MHz, and I have no idea what DX is.

So here is our shack lineup

Purchased at auction
FT-1000MP + MD200
Full of filters + TCXO-6
I've splurged a bit.

I really would have preferred the MARK-V, but I bought this one because it was budget friendly + standard maintained.
TS-480 for 50MHZ and FT-847 for local contact
But there's no one to talk to, and we just chat about incomprehensible things.
Digital oscilloscopes and spares purchased at auction
No one in Mindanao has this much.
The moment the GMS cell phone transmits.
Laptop in back is for cluster
The computer in the foreground is my regular ThinkPadX31 laptop that I use for logging, RTTY, SSTV, CW
Broke once and bought the same one on Yahoo! Auctions.
I put out a CQ on 14MHz RTTY early in the morning around 5am, and a few stations from Europe called me!
This is CwGet
CW Receiver Software
I know it's not a good idea to use a receiving software for CW, but I'm communicating with about 100 stations!
It is almost impossible to miss a CQ!
But you can't decode a code like this.
Can the ear decipher it? Can someone tell me?

As long as the sign is clear, even weak signals can be decoded, but sometimes there are people who can only decode E and T by hand.
And it's still a sad part of the software that if the signal drops in QSB, it's still not decodable.
But the call sign and the 5nn tu e e degree can be received under any circumstances.

I wish I had time every day to practice receiving CW.
